PolyProse

For Drafting, Revising, Editing, & Annotating Prose

Where Does PolyProse Go from Here?

Today’s post steps aside from my usual rhythm. I’ve been exploring cultural critique and have leaned into philosophical reflections. I’ve played with allegory, journalism, and some lifestyle content. Some posts focus on me, others on humanity as a whole. My style has varied from light musings to soulful meditations, and my tone has shifted from satire to poetry.

This variation is intentional. I gave myself permission to experiment in this stage of PolyProse. Every Monday and Thursday, I share a writing advice post. But I wanted to test where my voice belongs in this niche. Through my daily posts, I’ve allowed myself to explore. I’ve been testing my voice and stretching my style. I’ve asked myself what kind of writing feels most authentic. In that process, I’ve discovered that my home lies in something quieter with resonance. I’m most comfortable and authentic when writing philosophical, reflective, and existential essays.

When I write from this place, my voice feels its truest: accessible, analytical, reverent, and questioning. I don’t write to provide easy answers; I write to ask hard questions. I’m not interested in informing but rather excavating. I want to dig into hidden layers of being and hand you a shovel to dig beside me. I am drawn to reflections that unsettle, unearth, and help us uncover concealed truths. They are not polished solutions but raw instruments for discovery. I don’t want to write at you. I prefer writing with you. I hope that my questions become your mirrors. I want my words to spark in you the same excavations they demand of me.

This is the direction I want The PolyProse Journal to take. If you’ve been following me through this period of experimentation, thank you. You’ve helped me find my truest voice, and from here, I will speak from it.
